i am a strong believing sikh, and obey all sikh rules exept one, i have had my hair cut, does this make me bad? i though god looked at the soul from the inside to see if the person was a good one, does cutting the hair suddenly make the soul inpure, cant a soul be pure without the kesh!i am very confused, i got my hair cut at the age of 2, i would like to ask, does cutting hair make you impure?
Satnaam shri Waheguru
(REPLY) Sat Nam. There are so many postings about hair on this site that I can't believe you are still asking the same old question! It's not a matter of being "pure" or being "bad" but of following the rehit, doing what Guru Gobind Singh instructed us to do, i.e. keeping the form intact as God intended! "Good" and "bad" are human judgements. If your conscience is bothering you, and you are asking this question, then obviously you are not comfortable with the fact that your hair has been cut. why don't you try letting it grow, and then put on a turban and see how you feel? Blessings, SP
