My husband twice a year cut the grass on our property with a big tractor and does kill snakes. He does not kill them on purpose. The grass is long and he cannot see them.
I never say anything about it. He does not need to cut the grass by law. He cuts it so that the property looks good. He has about 5 acres open space.
I do not understand why all this is happening to me. I say my prayers daily and yet I end up doing horrible things?
Today I feel like a murderer. Guide me.
A Sinner
(REPLY) Sat Nam. The important factor in any situation is the INTENTION of the person. Yes, it is sad that this happened, but you did not purposely do it. You are paying the karma through your suffering and feelings of guilt. However, I think it is cruel of your husband to make you feel worse than you already do. "Accidents" do happen, although there is always a cause, in this case carelessness. However,it's over, it's done, and you can't change the past. All you can do is be more careful in the future, and forgive yourself for this -- even if your husband doesn't! Again, you did not plan to kill the quail, you did not INTEND to kill them. It happened. You are sorry. That's enough. By all means pray for God's blessing, and I know you will get it. I think your husband is a very unkind man. He should be comforting you and giving you emotional and moral support to help you get over this unfortunate event. Pray for him, too. May God bless you and Guru comfort you. SP
