I was just going through the Rehat section of the website and read that Kara should be worn on the right hand for a male and left hand of a female. But the thing is when I took Amrit the Panj Pyare said that all Sikhs should wear the Kara on your right hand. and only the Nihang Singh wears Karas on both hands. Please tell me if the article I read is correct or the info I have is correct

In the yogic tradition, it talks about the sun and moon energies. Moon being the female (left side of the body) and sun energy being the male (right side of the body). To help keep these energies balanced, the man wears the kara on the right wrist and the woman on the left. Now, this is your choice. Wear the kara on the wrist that makes sense to you. I hope this helps. GTKK
