>What on earth is going on on your website?
>
>Defenders Of The Faith Black T-Shirt - shows Guns What do you think non
>Sikhs will think when they look at it - looks similar to IRA and terrorist images. I was horrified that the Sikhism symbol has been changed.
>
>Who on earth came up with the idea of showing guns on a T shirt and associating it proudly with Sikhi - this is a disgrace and an insult on the Gurus. The message has been misunderstood. Please review this products and withdraw them. We do not want Sikhs thinking this is some kind of fashion statement! To make things worse those out there who love to stir up hatred would be rubbing their hands with glee if they saw this kind of stuff being promoted and sold.
>
>Never change the symbol of Sikhism.
>Dieying for your faith is not something you promote for personal glorification - it had a deep spiritual meaning for the Glorious Gurus. They defended the right of other human beings so that thety could continue with their religious practices. In this day and age people don't always understand this spirtuality - a very deep and personal thing.
>
>You have a responsibility for the upcoming young Sikhs to be very clear what Sikhi stands for and not to potentially mislead them.
The reply I got was as follows:
>please dnt think we are here to mislead or use the sikhi. as you are aware Sikhi is not just about simran our great Guru jis worship shastar.
Personally I think this is a cop out and the products should still be withdrawn.
Please comment.
(REPLY) Sat Nam. I totally agree with you! What they have done is outrageous and insulting. I hope that many people will strongly complain to the manufacturers and promoters and advertisers of this disgraceful product. Thank you for bringing it to our attention.
