Summary of Question:Rehat Maryada

As Sikhs, can we really place our trust in the rehat maryada? It was not wriiten or created by our Gurus, rather it is the interpretation of Sikh Scholars. Why do we follow this document when there is no divinity in it? I personally disagree with some stances in the rehat maryada, not about priniciple Sikh ideas such as uncut hair, but on things such as meat. I do not feel that it truly represents Sikhi since it was completely written on some individuals' interpretation. Do you have any evidence to refute, support my opinion?

==================

The Rehat is not written by the Gurus and therefore inspires no trust in it. The true Rehat to follow is that of the Guru, Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, from which all knowledge can be derived.

And from wherein we can see that eating meat is wrong.
