I am a sikh girl but i cut my hair .But now I am about to get married to a family who have never got their hair cut and is the same that they accept from me.But my mother inlaw and sister inlaw get their eyebrows done and waxing and upper lip is this not same as cutting the hair on your head. But I am do not get my eyebrows cut etc.are both these things same or just the hair on head are not allowed to cut for women and rest all is allowed. This is my biggest problem that they always fight with me that i cut my hair and i fight with them that they cut their eyebrows. well i am a very god fearing girl if i get aware of all the facts and responsibilities of the sikh religion i'll be most happy to accept all this also. But these things bother me hair is hair let it be eyebrow or forehead its all the same .when this concept of mine gets clear i be most happy and satisfied with my religion.

if you could please guide me about this and also that what is written in granth sahib about the hair.

regards
komal singh

(REPLY) Sat Nam. Hair is hair, wherever it is. Stop fighting about it. They will do what they want to do. However, I hope you will stop cutting your hair. Read all the questions and answers on this site about hair, and you'll know why I recommend that you let it grow as God intended. Each one is responsible for her own actions. Blessings, SP
