First of all i think u lot r doing a really job.

i am 18 and about to start uni. i lve in englan, and i wanna ask these questions. thanks

My question , can i non-sikh i.e. a muslim, christian, hindu etc be a gurmukh?

By reading Gurbani and ur answers in this forum, i think a non-sikh can be a gurmukh. Looking @ history ppl like Main Mir, bhagat Kabir, Bhagat Ravidas, Sheik Fareed, Pir Budhu Shaall seem to have qualities of a gurmukh.

So if non-skihs can be gurmukh, then being sikh, hindu or muslim does not matter in Wahiguru's eyes. So does it leave the identy of being Khalsa? Does it really matter, if we are Khalsa or not? Does it really matter if we take amrit or not? i.e. taking amrit is a ritual, and does not gurbani amrit bani ek hai, dooja amrit nahi. i.e. the only amrit is bani, and if we live by, ie be gurmukh, does it really matter to take amrit?

thanx,
Pardip Singh

You have to find what's meaningful for you. Yes, many non-Sikhs embrace parts of Sikhism. There is nothing wrong with that. Some will find meaning in the rituals, and that is the key. As long as the rituals have meaning, then it is useful for the person. If they loose their meaning, then its time to reevaluate and get reinspired. We must not judge by labeling if some one is this or that. They are just words. What matters is what's inside and meaningful for each of us. Find what's meaningful for you. Don't worry about what its called. GTKK
