Hi. I just wanted to point out that if you are a girl, then why would you use the last name Singh? This is defeating the whole purpose of why Guru ji gave girls the last name Kaur. Why be Singh when Guru ji gave women the honour of being a Kaur!

Sat Nam! The person in question took the family name Singh when she married a Singh. She was not born into a Sikh family.
