Summary of Question:Regarding My Brother-In-Law
Category:Love & Marriage

Hello,

My sister and my brother-in-law have been married for 4 yrs now. My brother-in-law doesnt' treat his wife(my sister) with respect and dignity. But has been attracted to his older brother's wife. He is over protective about her and is buying her clothes and gives plenty of money to his older brother & his family. My sister cooks and cleans the house but has no hold in the family. She has been treated nothing better than a maid. Her husband calls her all kinds of names. Her in-laws are very indifferent and do not care much for her.

I would like to know whether there are any mantras or banis/shabad to recite to bring harmony, peace of mind and a better future in my sister's life?

(REPLY) Sat Nam. So sorry to hear of this sad situation. Reciting the SoPurkh section of REhiras eleven times a day has been known to have a very positive effect upon men to "make them into saints." Plus, I always have a great faith in the power of Guru Ram Das, the "Lord of Miracles" -- so chanting the shabd DHAN DHAN RAM DAS GUR... and praying with the intention to bless (yes, bless!) your brother-in-law could help. There are CD's with these mantras/shabds recorded. (Check with Ancient Healing ways or Spirit Voyage websites for information.) May God bless you and your family, SP
