Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Wahguru Ji Ki Fateh,

Today I stand in the crosswords in my life, I am a sixteen year old boy living in Surrey, B.C. I am a religous type of guy,-(I don't wear a turban, or am amritdhari), my friends are mainly east Indian. I work hard in schools and I don't drink or do drugs or in any gangs. But I feel sorry for my friends, they are interested in bad things-like pornography and drinking, I feel sorry for them and their families and not they don't do good in their studies. I was wondering, they always make fun of me, because I am religous. What can I do to make them leave me alone, my cousins and my friends and schoolmates make fun of me.? I pray and do patt everyday. I guess this is one of the rewards from my past life, is that true?

Greetings to you in the Name of God the light of every soul and in the Name of Guru the life of every Sikh.

Dear one, you are very blesssed because you have a spiritual practice in your life. Every body has a soul. Every soul has a longing to be recognized. Your associates are mixed up. They feel the pain of their lives, but they do not understand the way of their true identity (their spirit). This is why they bug you.

There is nothing that you can say that will help them. You cannot change them or save them from their problems. So,do not judge what they do, right or wrong.

Let your thoughts of them go. Simply say to yourself when you see them or think of them...."in the Name of the Guru I bless you" "In the Name of the Guru I bless you" In the Name of the Guru I bless you". Let this be your silent prayer before you ever speak to them and when you see them. You are giving this problem over to God and Guru, and you will see how God and Guru will clear up the situation.

God bless you and keep up!
