as i was researching on sikhism i found out that it says in the rehat that:

praathaa kaal gur geeth n gaavai || rehiraas binaa prasaadh jo khaavai||
Those who do not sing the Guru's Hymn at dawn and those who eat before doing Rehraas are punishable.

I have been doing the Rehraas pat for a while and i have always eaten at four after school i have roti because my mother goes to work night shifts so we eat together at four to compensate for dinner as we would have roti then. i was never aware of this and i never intenionally did this. what i wanted to know was is eating at 4 and doing rehras at 6 acceptable? thank you for your kind help.

It is just not to be sleepy whilst doing Rehiras Sahib. A two-hour gap is fine! Food is digested and you are calm and relaxed. Keep up your paath. There is no problem.
