My best friend of 10 years now is from India who is a Sikh Punjabi. he always wore a silver ring on his right index finger and sometimes he wore a silver bracelet on his left wrist. he's 20 years old and recently went to India with his father and came back with a ring that has a green stone on it. its on his right wedding finger. for whatever reason he wouldn't tell me what it was for as i was curious. I'm pretty sure his bracelet is a "Kara" and i also think the silver ring on his index finger is to be pure until marriage. please correct me if I'm wrong. i have tried to look up different sources but i couldn't find anything on my own. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dear one, I think you should ask your friend about the ring and its meaning. There are so many rituals and cultures. None of this has any significance in Sikhee.
