I HAVE A PROBLEM WITH GENERALY ALL MUSLIMS, I FIND THAT THEY DO NOT LIKE SIKHS, BUT IN FACT HATE THEM. I LIVE IN SOUTHHALL AND AM IN YEAR 11,I GREW UP WITH MANY OF MY FRIENDS TAKING THE SAME ATTITUDE TOWARDS MUSLIMS. AND NOW IT HAS GROWN TO ME GETTING IN TO FIGHTS WITH THEM, I GOT STABBED A YEAR AGO AND THE FIGHTING HAS NOT STOPPED.PLEASE HELP ME BECAUSE I FEAR FOR MY LIFE.(AND THAT OF MY FRIENDS).MY FRIEND WHO IS ALSO IN MY YEAR HAD HIS HAIR CHOPPED OFF AND WAS THREATENED THAT IF HE DID NOT CONVERT HE WOULD DIE,BECAUSE OF MY FEAR I HAVE JOINED A GANG(SHERE PANJAB)BUT I FIND THAT THEY WANT TO FIGHT ALL THE TIME.

Greetings to you in the Name of God the light of every soul and in the Name of Guru the life of every Sikh.

I would like to help you and would highly reccommend that you take up "Martial Arts" immediately. You can study Shotokan Karate for example. The reason that I make this suggestion is because when you do martial arts, you learn to defend yourself and overcome your fear and reactiveness. Developing your 'Chi" or your naval center will give you tremendous clarity and strength.

I am sorry to hear of your experience with the Muslim students. This is a sad situation. However, there must be some cool headed Muslim students. I am recalling a young British Muslim attorney that I met at the United Nations in New York. He was happy to meet me and reminise his High School years. He had grown up in Birmingham and his best friends were Sikhs. He could speak Punjabi and had many fond memories of going to the Gurdwara there.

Does the school administration know of these problems?
