I am at a point in my life, where attaining my goals means everything in life. But with these dreams and hope, comes the fear and anxiety of not fulfulling them. For last couple of years, I have tried my best to stay in balance, but now things are out of my hand and I know I am moving downhill. Without these dreams, of doing better in life, I feel, I will loose the spirit of living. I know "detachment" to these materialistic goals is the key, but yet you cannot nourish yourself spiritually, if you are not well fed...in a physical form. I someday, plan to give back to the society, by serving the humanity, but how can I do that, without having enough to serve myself and my family.

I feel, Guru has always watched over me as a father does, but yet part of me, wants him to come and talk to me, through somebody. Wonder, where does the answers to all these questions come from..from within me??

Singh

P.S Never in my life, I had thought, that I'll be using this forum to look for answers...but here I am!

(REPLY) Sat Nam. Yes, the answers to your all your questions have to come from within you. And how do you connect with your inner self to get those answers? Through meditation! Through chanting God's Name. Do a daily sadhana without fail, and pray for guidance, and then practice being grateful for EVERYTHING in your life. These are the tools we use to get wisdom and understanding that is our best guidance. Read your banis to clear your mind, and offer all your work, your career, your actions as service to God, so that you do your very best in an attitude of devotion, and you will be non-attached to the results! Remember, we say WAHE GURU JI KA KHALSA, WAHE GURU JI KI FATEH! because that reminds us that the Pure ones (that's our desire to be those!) belong to God, and all victory belongs to God. So, we do not bemoan "failure" nor gloat over success, because everything belongs to Wahe Guru. Never feel that you are not achieving your goals, because if you are working toward doing and being the best you can in everythng, and remembering God's Name, then the rest is in God's hands, not yours. Faith moves mountains, otherwise, even stones are heavy! Blessings, SP
