Sat Sri Akal.

I wanted to say thank you for the wonderful service you are providing to the youth and for the sikh community!!

I recently had an arranged marriage about 2 months ago, we are both gursikhs in the US with traditional values.

We had our differences and occasional ups and downs. We argued and had our difficult times, even dealing with our families was stressful at times, but I thought things were going fine. I moved in with my husband and his parents and left my job to move across the country to be with him. Living with family was stressful at times, but we managed to pull through our issues.

Suddenly, my husband has ended our relationship. We have separated. I moved out (as he and his family packed my stuff and had it ready by the door). He is now in the process of filing for a divorce. I have tried several times to re-conciliate with him and have apologized for any misunderstandings that may have come from my side (we didn't argue about anything major).

At times, his parents were a little hesitant about us moving out as they are very attached to their son, but I tried very hard to achieve a balance and please his family as well.

It has been over a month since my husband left and I do miss him. I took our Anand Karaj very seriously and dont understand how a man can walk away so quickly and fall out of love so quickly.

I want to work things out with my husband, clearly he does not. Is their a paath or shabad that I can reside to calm my anxiety/sadness/depression and find strength to move on?

My dear, I am very sorry to hear of your situation and your pain. Evidently, his family has been pushing him to divorce. Thank God and Guru for a quick ending. Do make sure to protect yourself in court with some compensation for
his breach of relationship.

For your pain and sorry and abandonment I highly recommend you recite daily
for this next year:

1. Shabd Hazare....4 letters of Arjan Mal to his father Guru Ram Das ji....
"Mera Man Loche gur darshan Taa-ee.........to Ho gholee jio ghol gumaa-ee jan Naanak Das tumaaray jio"...daily for the pain of the separation....may you never be separated from Wahe Guru.

2. Bhand Jamee-ai Bhand Nimee-ai shabd...stops the indignities, creates a shield around you, takes away anger, develops reverence in relationships and builds the grace in you. There is a nice version on CD BLESSINGS OF A WOMAN
by Satkirin Kaur Khalsa track #7 on Sikhnet and ITUNES for download.

You are not alone.God bless you, SK
