The question is not wheather we should keep are hair, instead the question is y do we shave it. When we wake up in the mourning and pick up a razor we do it for a reason. To be honest with myself i do it because i feel im a good looking guy and i like the attention i get from the oppistite sex. I dont think i would really have an urge to shave if i were in this world living with only males or simply living in this world alone period. People talk alot and say that we should shave for (1)cleansiness(same people dye there hair thats not cleansy), its a (2)norm(so was killing jews in germany back like 70 years ago and that wasnt rite as a norm)(3)i just want to(what does that mean). There are reasons to why we wake up and go through the hastle of shaving and then paying a barbour to cut our hair. Theres a reason we throw a fit when it doesnt come out rite. We could care less how we look in front of our mom and sister but when it comes to girls outside the home we tend to wanna look attractive. Why though, i know i do it cuz i like the attention when females look at me. It feels good to know someone likess u and wants you. But is that the right way. Should we be happy if someone likes us for our image rather than our self within. Or does the image protray ourself within. If so what is our image really, do we have one our are we fooling ourselves when where all the same. I just started growing my beard and i love the gurus and what ive wittnessed them do for me. But this hair thing boggles my mind. I mean i think the reason man shaves is to gain something from the oppisite sex and for social exceptence. But dont we as individuals also prefer certain exterior qualiteis in a person. For instance individuals prefer in most cases an individual whos phisically tall, strong, handsom rather than overweight, week and unattractive or are these things not supposed to matter. I mean i definitly believe looks as all other thngs is temporary due to old age or severe accidents and diseases and so for someone to love me for my appearence would lead to a detremental, lustful, materialistic and very temporary realtionship. Yet i myself prefer to initate a conversation with someone i find attractive rather than someone i dont on a singles site on the internet. So how can i keep my beard and say that girls should accept when looks also matter to me. I would be a hipocrite no. How can i ask girls to love me only on my interior when i myself want a companion and take the exterior into a account even if only 5 or 10 percent. I believe in love without looks casue love is blind and i realize the way we love god is the way we should love eachother and since God doesnt acctually have a phisical form we should see God in everyone. But doesnt ones expression and look say alot about themselves. Alot can be determined about a persons interior through the exterior and therefore i belive that all though keeping hair is the most saintly and vritues act of simplicity there is i also believe that it shouldnt be practiced until one is sure that they themselves are of that kind of mentality. Cuz there are alot of people who are not of this mentality and sttill keep there hair. Which is hipocrisy in my oppinion. So therefore i would like to end of by saying love God and everything with in the Guru Granth Sahib but if you feel u dont understand it then dont keep the beard and die in vain becasue after all what is keeping the beard when ur really not for it on the inside. Much like telling u they love u when they dont its just words and its just hair so if your keeping your hair and u dont find it relevent then your just as clean shaven as the next guy though people might not see it. So be amrit on the inside before u even worry about being amrit on the outside becasue those amrit on the inside automatically become amrit on the outside. Im gonna shave if this eats at me any longer because i realize my realationship with god and sikhism its self is a lot greater than keeping or not keeping hair. Afterall the hair wont trandsend to judgement in Gods court with you but

the reasons u kept your hair and didnt keep your hair sure will. So if u know your reasons are wrong then prey they change if there right then sahve it if ure not sure then test and go through some trial and error, its a part of growing up. "Youll learn more about a road by traveling it rather than consulting all the maps in the world".
Thanks for reading and thanks for letting me voice my oppinion.

So you would rather have girls like you instead of following the Guru? Your choice.
