Sat Nam. My condolences to you!
Yes, God forgives everything and anything, provided the person involved requests it and is sincere in his/her contrition. You cannot do this for him, but you can 'pray' to him to get to that point himself and ask for forgiveness.
However, you are also in a position to help by consciously forgiving your grandson for what he did, and interceding through your own prayers TO the Creator that S/He forgive your grandson. Forgive in your heart all those who you perhaps feel some blame towards concerning his suicide. Pray for your grandson that whatever drove him to it (and you may never know) be healed and resolved. All these things help. Sikhs do not believe in hell. We do believe, though that the one whose life is cut short as such is destined to return to physical form to complete what s/he began (with no timeframe as to when that happens). That is not considered hell. Still, suicide is very hard on the soul, so your grandson needs your prayers in all respects. I promise you it will help him. God bless you both,
DKK
