(REPLY) Sat Nam. I don't know the meaning of the word "NAFRAT" But I'm guessing it means something like anger. Anyway, to try to answer your question, of course you should follow Sikhi! When I was a little girl, my mother taught me that no matter what other children did, or how they misbehaved, I was to do the right thing! and she didn't know anything about karma! She did know, however, about honesty, which she considered the highest virtue. so, when i RECOGNIZED my identity as a Sikh at the age of 40 - 34 years ago ! it was a very natural thing to adopt the teachings of the Guru. Yes, it is sad that so many Indians born in Sikh families have discarded and ignored the dictates of Guru Gobind Singh. On the other hand, thousands of western born Sikhs have adopted the form and the faith. So, please do not despair, sometimes things have to get worse before they get better. Remember, Guru Gobind Singh said that "960 million we shall be" -- so just follow your own highest consciousness, and pray for those who have lost sight of Truth. The world is in chaos right now, and what you have described is a symptom of the turmoil and unrighteousness that seems to be prevailing as we leave the Piscean Age. by the year 2012, we will finally enter the actual Age of Aquarius, and meanwhile, tremendous upheaval exists on the planet. Please read your banis, wear your bana, and be a lighthouse of hope for others. Remember the one Sikh who stood alone on a highway to collect a toll, when all around him had been destroyed! it's not the life that matters, it's the courage that you bring to it. Blessings, SP
