hi.. i just wanted to share my problem with you.. my brother recently got married in january this year in india with a kuri from india... my brother came back to the uk after their honeymoon together.. in may this year my bhabhie then came over... we took her out and about i.e cinema's, restaurants, shopping.. my brohter took her to the gym everyday since she got here... bought her designer clothes... and rarely stayed in for home cooked dinner.. they live seperate from us as he has his own shop and home.. she has only been here for six weeks...

about two weeks ago my brother had planned to go to inida for business... my bhabhie asked my borhter to take her to see her family but my brother said no as he is only going for one week... and said that you need to stay here to look after the shop and home... we all understood how she felt... missing her parents and family, but u also have to understand that she has only been here for six weeks... she wasnt happy so she then asked my mum.. my friend and then my dada ji... to all make my brother understand... our dada ji is the head of the family so i found it really rude for her to go to him.. but still i didnt interfer...

she didnt do any house work and had dramatically changed into being a western girl.. one day she even went shooping and brought really bad western clothes that i wouldnt even wear....

aften my brother had left to go to india, two hours later, she ran away without any reason.. took some money and hid the shop keys...
my mum rang the police to say her daughter law had gone missing.. and a day later they rang back and told her that she is in a safe house...
they couldnt tell us anymore untill my brother came home...

when my brother did come home we went straight to the police station, the police said that they would get back to him.. a day later police men had come round and arrressted my brother and my mum as allegations were made.. my babhie apparently had said that my brother had raped her and beaten her up, never let her go out and hit her with the iron... my mum got arressted aswell saying that she had beaten her up, stole £400 from her and stole gold from her.... they couldnt take my mum as my mum is wheel chair bound and they didnt have the facilities for her...

my brother came bk later in the day... and the police have put him out on bail....

i dont know why this is happening.. we are not like that... my bhabhie also said that she had burnt her hand on the gas and my brother had put her hands on it.. we havent got a gas cooker so this cant of have happened.. she had the burnt marks on her hand before she even got married.. theyre on the wedding pics..
my brother cant of raped her as my borhter has some medical reports before the dates she has claimed....he has some medical problems in the downstairs area...
where would she get £400 from she has only been her for 6 weeks... she hasnt worked once... and all the gold is my mum's as my mum still has the reciepts for it...

our life has been turned into hell... am begging guru ji for his kirpa to give us strength and courage to deal with this.... its like like having big knife stook into our backs.. what have we done to desrve this...

(REPLY) Sat Nam. This sounds like a terrible situation. I am so sorry. The best advice I can give from a practical standpoint is for your brother to get a good lawyer - immediately. From a spiritual standpoint, who knows what karma is happening here -- but for protection I would suggest chanting AAD GURAY NAMEH, JUGAAD GURAY NAMEH, SAT GURAY NAMEH, SIRI GURU DAYVAY NAMEH -- calling upon Guru Nanak, Guru Angad, Guru Amar Das and Guru Ram Das. Recite it many times a day -- at least eleven. Also, Benti Chopai bani. And pray for harmony and peace to prevail in your family. May God bless you and Guru guide you in this, and all things, SP
