(REPLY) Sat Nam. Whenever I need special prayers, I call on Guru Ram Das, the Lord of Miracles. You could chant DHAN DHAN RAM DAS GUR Shabd (The words were recently posted in a response) or you could chant the RA MA DA SA SA SAY SO HUNG healing meditation. These are available also on CD's to make it easier to chant along with the music. Death is inevitable for everyone, and it will only happen, no matter how sick we are, or what accident happens, when God takes back the Prana - the life force divine essence, so we can return Home to Akal Purkh. We, as Sikhs should not fear death when it comes, but recognize that the soul is immortal, it is only the body that is no longer animated. Another suggestion is to read REhiras with the intention of praying for your friend. May God bless you both, and Guru give you faith and courage. "It is not the life that matters, but the courage that you bring to it." SP
