Hello Bhaskar,
Well first of all i would like to congradulate you on converting to a sikh! I believe that people will not say anything to you if you believe so strongly about your religion and people will react differently. Some people wont even notice. The thing is that you have to be confident about who you are and what you are doing. If it will make you feel any better, when i was a child, i was the only kid in my class who wore a paag or a turban. But i went thoughout high school with it on and i stood proud. Everyone has a different level of tollerance and its up to you how you want to handle it. Im not guarantying that no one will say anything but if anyone does, either ignore them, or forgive them.
I hope I have been of some help
