Summary of Question:	What is the purpose of marriage?

During revision in RE this question came up and I couldn't find it in any of the books, why do Sikhs get married? I hazarded a guess that it was for reasons quite similar to why Christians get married but I wasn't sure.

The purpose of marriage for a Sikh is to create a cozy home where you can feel the loving presence of God consciousness. When you have a cozy and conscious home, you can have radiant and happy children that grow up to be conscious and exemplary human beings.....human beings that reflect the grace of God.
