hello!

I have a question that so far nobody from my family have been able to answer sufficiently.

I have been brought up in the Sikh way of life. My caste is apparently Kshatrya,(otherwise known as Chimbay- tailors) which is also a hindu caste too?? . My grandads background is mainly hindu based from about three generations back. The thing i find strange is that we still practice both religions. Is that right or wrong?? What does that make me?? My family and my community all follow Baba Namdev and the gurdwara we all go to is actually run by our community. It is called the Shirimoni Kshatrya Sabha Community Centre, thus let me state that it has the Guru Grath Sahib in it but yet it is also a community centre, wheres all the respect gone??? My community is made up of many sikhs and hindus and we all visit that temple.

I sometimes find it confusing because when people ask what religion i am i find it hard to explain! Even right now i feel like im explaining but confusing you too!!!!

Whenever i ask my dad, he always says we are sikhs, and i always fire back asking why we follow Baba Namdev then?? He always answers saying that Guru Nanak was also a follower of Baba Namdev, then i tend to reply asking him why the hell have we changed from our hindu roots to our sikh roots even though we still practice hinduism.

What am i????

Greetings to you in the Name of God the light of every soul and in the Name of Guru the life of every SIkh.

You are a creation of God! If you cannot see God in all, you cannot see God at all. Drop the rest and enjoy your meditation!
