Just a simple question.

When we go to all the Gurdwara's in India, we have to go in barefoot. Why is this?

And should we go barefoot in all Gurudwaras, everywhere?

What is the significance.

Forgive me, if I'm asking a stupid question.

Yes, we go into all Gurdwara's with our head covereed and our shoes off, both in India and outside of India.

Leave the dirt of the shoes and the worry of the world outside the door (dwara) of the Guru.
