I am doing an essay and i was wondering if your could tell me some of the reforms introduced by Guru Amar Das Ji. And were these reforms in conformity with the teachings of the Gurus?

Thank you so much for your time.

The main social reform credited to Guru Amar Das is the tradtion of langar where everyone sits together equally and eats together. Each Guru in his time added to the tradition of what we call the Guru today. A good reference book for your Sikh Studies is the 6 volume (in three books) set of books my Max MacCauliffe called the Sikh Religion.
