Sir,

I want to draw your attention to a very common problem. This has connection with the movies that were released in the recent past ant that are being made nowadays. The movie makers never escape a chance to ridicule sikhs or crack a joke on sikhs. In my opinion, they should not do this with any religion as it hurts the followers of that religion and have a impact on society. I invite your views and urge people who can put a brake on this to do so.

Dear Kuljeet Singh

I'm not quite sure what you mean. I personally have not seen very many movies that make jokes on Sikhs. I think in the movie "The English Patient" The young sikh soldier showed himself to be a very brave and obviously valued man. I have seen some misrepresentations, but they have been from people who have no idea who we are or what we stand for. The fact that they have no concept does not offend me in any way. I do think that if they wish to represent us in a sreious way they will. Making something funny out of something serious has always been prevelant in our society and it does not only fall on the Sikhs but on many different groups. Ignorance is not an exscuse I agree, but in the spirit of fun, let us not take the position of victims, but simply ignore the acts of people who show what they know through thier own actions.
