I have a very good friend who is a sikh.his kara is bent and damaged. I would like to get him a new one but is this appropriate. If not . what could I buy him

You can certainly give a Sikh a gift of a Kara. You may want to ask your friend if there is something special about this bent Kara. Perhaps it was given to him by his grandfather or has some special remembrance associated with it.

If you wan to give a spiritual gift, you can give them a nitnem, or a beautiful piece of cloth to wrap their nitnem, or a kirtan tape.
