Summary of Question: | REPLY : TURBAN AND DISCRIMINATION |
Category: | Turban |

I am a Turbaned Sikh and I am studying in USA. I have come from India this year only and I am doing my post-graduation. Before coming to US, I also used to think like this. But after reaching here, all my assumptions are CHANGED.
I would say that there is not a single instance of discrimination against me till now. The turban has never pulled me back in any situation, but rather it has pushed me.
All the professors who are teaching a big class can't identify each and every person, but they pay special attention to me. In a class of 100 students, I am the center most of the time. If as a Turbaned person, you answer little question in the class correctly, people and professors remember you as a GOOD student.
So, I think this is not a kind of Discrimination.
Regards,
Kuljeet Singh.
