Your real question is whether you should be true to your Dharma, your path. Many things in life are difficult. Regular Americans have difficulty getting jobs if they aren't qualified, or if their field has too many applicants for a particular job.
YOur identity as Khalsa gives you an edge in life. Decide first that you will never betray your own soul for temporary gain, then you can handle anything life brings. The details of how difficult it is to live as Khalsa don't matter, only that you stay true untill your last breath. At that moment your employment history means very little. And that moment can come any time. You have no guarantee you will live a long life, only that your life will end, sooner or later.
