Summary of Question: | My Beard Turns Out Red |
Category: | Hair |
Date Posted: | Monday, 12/31/2001 3:23 PM MST |
I am just wondering my beard turns out red. Like my goatee area is all red. Is there a reason for that? This is a dumb question, but I don't know why. None of my relatives have this problem and I am the only one. If you can help out, thanks!!!

Sat Siri Akaal. SOme people's genetic makeup makes their facial hair come out reddishh or auburn instead of dark brown or black. If you think you are missing something in your nutrition to cause this, see a doctor, but my guess is it's all in your genes. Don't worry about it. Also, beards change color over time. You might find as you get older that your beard then darkens (and of course, it will turn gray at some point).
