Sat Sri Akal.

I know some sikhs who do not eat meat on Tuesday's and Thursday's...what is the meaning of this practice and what significance does it has? I eat meat and sometimes on these days...does this mean I am not as practicing a sikh as they are?

Dear N. Singh:

Sat Siri Akaal. I do not know where this practice originates or what it means, but it is NOT a part of Sikhi. Search this Forum also for a post called "Help Me I am In a very Big Confusion" dated 6/12/2001 for a similar query/reply.

Guru told his Sikhs not to eat meat. (Search this forum using searchword 'meat' for more on this topic.)

Guru rakha,
-DKK
