why does the rehit maryada say sikhs can eat meat? i am really confused when i became a pure s ikh i was told not to eat meat now i saw the rehit maryada saying we can eat meat?

Yes, I agree that it is very confusing when the Rehit Maryada of the Akal Takhat tells new Amrit Dhari Sikhs that they can eat meat. However, I consider myself blessed to have been directed to be a vegetarian in my practice as a Khalsa.
