Okay, here’s my story. I’m a 17-year-old guy form NY and have taken amrit. There’s this really pretty 16-year-old Amrit-Dhari girl I like. She’s just sooo cool. She is a very faithful Sikh follower, and is a great person. She’s funny, very smart, interesting, and loves nature. She’s so smart, she’s skipping 11th grade! She’s a teacher at the Punjabi classes, and teaches kirtan, and does Gatka really really well too. She does shabads on stage, and her voice is so beautiful. Waheguru has definitely shown Kirpa on her. She plays sports in school and respects her parents and elders, including my parents, who think greatly of her. She even volunteers at hospital, she wants to be a doctor. Very few people are like her in ny.
The thing is, I’m really attracted to her, and my friends say she likes me back, but she doesn’t act like it. I want to ask her if she does, and I want to know how I should tell her I like her. Is there any proper way of telling her I like her? And what should I do about this? I know it’s wrong to be boy/girlfriend, but what do I do to show I like her, without disrespecting her?? Even my parents know I like her, but they say it’s just a little crush thing. I think it’s more than that/. Please advice me . . .

Become her friend first. Do seva with her. Participate in things she likes to do. Show her what kind of a person you are. Friendship is the foundation to a good relationship. GTKK
