Does this matter how long u should meditate, when we keep saying Waheguru all the time, does that also help, or the only time we should consider when we really sit and mediatate.

Sat Siri Akaal Ji. Throughout Siri Guru Granth Sahib you will see exhortations to remember God with every breath. Over time such remembrance even in the midst of daily activities, brings one a radiant peace. This is a form of meditation in ACTION.

However, meditation in the form of stillness -- of really sitting quietly and vibrating the name of God verbally and mentally-- is a whole different experience. It is this type of practice that gave our Gurus their peace and inner knowing. It is this kind of practice that gave Gurus and anyone else who practices as such spiritual strength unsurpassed. So, it's best if you can practice both. I might add that practice of one will help practice of the other, and that when you work at both, you will hit a point where NOT doing so will feel strange and like you lost your routine.
Guru rakha,
