Hi there,

I'm a british sikh who was denied the privalage of hair when I was 7.
I am now 28 and am having strong thoughts of re-embrassing my true identity, however I have found my surroundings and influences (even other Singh's) are set against it.
I feel I need a spiritual lift to aid me with this process. Are there any other people who have had this problem, if so what did they do to overcome this massive problem.

Kind regards.
J SINGH.

The spiritual lift that you require was given to us by Guru Gobind Singh. He transformed the meek into kingly Lions. He gave us daily prayers to do which fill us with the juice of bravery.

I would suggest the following to you:
1.daily recite Jaap Sahib (out loud) daily, in the morning. It's sound gives strength and courage.
2.start reading the stories of the lives of our Gurus.
THE SIKH RELIGION,by Max Macauliff
THE LIVES AND TEACHINGS OF THE SIKH GURUS,by Harish Dhillon
3.Go to your local Gurdwara and seek out the friendship and association of other young turbaned wearing men.
