Summary of Question:Seeking The Truth And My Collapse Into Despair
Category:General Sikhism

Dear Friend

I always tried as best i can to search for the truth in things and this has lead to my present vocation in academia teaching engineering and studying philosophy.

However this situation leaves me with re-occuring bouts of depression, self doubt and despair. Searching for the truth of things and consistency in life has left me bereft of any mental 'rock' on which i can have faith in.

It seems to me that all things can be questioned and undermined; all is sophistry. My mind is in utter turmoil, from such a shifting mind view i find that i have no conviction in any course of action that i seek to undertake...., hence all decisions lead to failure.

I wish to end this addictive search for truth and purity for i fear it has no definitive end.

Please advise me in helping me gain my faith and dispell my doubt.

Shukria Ji

Dear one, You 'ji' is weak.

Please go to www.mrsikhnet.com and do the meditation there from Friday May 18th.
It is 'bowing Jaap Sahib' it will strengthen your ability to over power your negative mind and build up your radiant body.

Doubt is a poison (as said in Siri Guru Granth Sahib) and you must decide to ignore it. But give yourself this above practice so you can take your 'sword of truth' and 'slay' your negative mind. We all suffer from this. So, start now.

Blessings,
SKKK
