In response to "Philosophical Question". God and the 'origin of species' are in no way opposed to each other. Darwin, the other of 'the origin of species' believed in God. He believed that God ran things according to laws. So evolution by natural selection was one of the mechanisms used by God in the natural world. There is no conflict between Sikhe and science, although there may be between science and some other religions. I know this may not strike at the heart of your problem, but I hope it helps.
