Dear Manjeet Kaur-
Sat Siri Akaal.

Your son's decision to cut his hair may be from company pressure, from his desire to 'fit in' with others in his company and neighborhood, or it may be something he has wanted to do for a LONG time. It could be that he does not feel he is Sikh of the Guru, so why dress like one?

So, first you must find out why he did this. Then adjust your response accordingly. You can remind him why we wear the form of the Guru, why we keep our hair, why we are Sikhs. If you read other posts/replies on this site and throughout Sikhnet (look at categories called Hair and Turban, to start), you will have all the arguments you need to encourage him to regrow his hair and keep a turban.

But it is NOT the Sikh way to force anyone to wear a turban and keep kesh. For some reason he decided to cut his hair, and it will take a concious and courageous decision on his part to regrow it and keep dashtar.

Guru ang sang,
