Summary of Question:	English Vs.Gurmukhi Same Effect?

dear pple at sikh net

i know how to read punjabi but the problem is that i can easily read sukhmani sahib in english and finish it but the question is does it have the same effects as reading it in punjabi as my grandma says reading sukhmani sahib well bring u anything u want.... is it the same for the english version of sukhmani sahib im very confused
