Okay so here is the deal...Nirankaris are a group of people who believe in a living guru, yes, i said a living guru. Nirankari was born out of sikhism, so their teachings are very very similar...belief of one god...no idol worship...anti-caste system...etc. the nirankari satguru is to them as the bible is to christians, as the quran is to muslims, as the gurbani is to sikhs. nirankaris believe that they were born out of sikhism, but do not consider themselves to be sikh. please visit www.nirankari.com (the official website of the nirankari mission and nirankari guru) this website is the ONLY website put out by nirankaris so what is said here is true, and all else is false. click on "THE MISSION" at the top of the page for an explaination. also, nirankari is NOT a religion....its a mission... a way of life. if you have more questions, or would like to visit a nirankari congregation in your area, do respond :)
