I want to ask that is bhangra or dance allowed in Sikh Rehat.I take it as what would Sant Attar Singh JI or Sant Isher Singh JI or anyother such saint would do?I think they will surely not. So,dancing is not allowed in Sikhism because every Sikh is a Saint and a Soldier.Am I right? It is a part of Punjabi Tradition not the Sikh Tradition,I think so.

Thankyou

Wahe Guru Ji ka Khalsa
Wahe Guru Ji ki Fateh!

It sounds as though you have reached your own conclusion. I believe that dancing is an act of joy and ecstacy. It is neither right nor wrong. Everything is about intent. Therein lies karma or freedom from it.

"Let your tune be triumph over your love of Maya and let yourself dance to the Shabd." Raag Maajh, Guru Amar Das Ji (Paanna 121)

Since when do saints not dance with joy?
