Hi, My question is regarding studying. I have a problem and I only realized it recently. I feel the only reason I've wanted to study is because it was impressed upon me by my parents and I never did very well as I always chose to be consumed with my family problems since childhood. Now I'm in later yrs of college and realize that firstly, Iwas always too stressed about fam to get myself to focus on studying and want to change coz no matter what I want to do, I should be able to get a college degree. I now understand that by worrying I only wasted many years of my life and am learning to leave all in Waheguru's hands and focus on making my life which is a great gift from God rather then immersing myself in worldly problems which are usually out of my hands. I try to not feel guilty about not making the best of my past few yrs as it makes me depressed. I feel that it was my Karma to make those choices. I was wondering if you could give me some suggestions as to what might help me in this road back to recovery. I do want to study and make something of my life. How can Waheguru help me?

Study for yourself not because of pressure from your parents. They probably wanted you to get an education because they want you to have a bright future. There is nothing wrong with that. Stop blaming yourself and feeling guilty. That is a totaly waste of time and energy. Just let it go of those self-destructive feelings. What ever reason got you to college, great. Now, with this new awareness, go on. That is what life and growth is all about. Be grateful that you were given the opportunity to go to college, be grateful that you have this new awareness...praise the Lord...and go on. Finish school and have a great life...beliving in yourself from the inside...from where God and Guru will always guide you. GTKK
