SAT SRI AKAL

Hi I just want to ask a q. I know that some sikh women in history used to wear turban as per the sikh faith but after that in the sggs did it say that its not neccesary for women to wear it but if she is baptized she must? just wondering if some one who is a non sikh asked me what should I say? because even though I don 't follow sikhi to the fullest right now b/c I gotta admit I cut my hair, but I still love my faith and honor the sikhs who did so much for us, plus I love god he has helped me alot in my life. I have decided I want to later in my life wear a turban and baptize later (when Iam ready for it)b/c I still consider myself a daughter of guru gobind singh ji.

Sat Sri Akal,

In Sikhi, women and men are equal. This is the wisdom that the Gurujis imparted on us. Being equal means that there is no special treatment (either good or bad) for either gender. Therefore, in the Sikh religion, both men and women are urged to wear a turban when they are baptised.

Gur Fateh,
HSD
