Sat Siri Akal, ji.

If you want to understand it the way the Gurus did it, then meditate on Gurbani with a calm mind, deep breath and an open heart. Do something to bring yourself to a very centered place and then meditate on Gurbani. Gurbani gives us the ability to live in the Will of God, even when the Will of God may be challenging or difficult to bear. The Sikh sin history who could smile under torture did so because they were connected with their hearts and the true experience that what they were going through was the Will of God. In being aligned with God's Will, we find peace within, even in the midst of terrible suffering. So - it may still hurt, but the pain becomes transformed by our surrender to God's Will. To go through anything, align yourself with the Will of God through meditation of Gurbani and surrender yourself to that Will.

I hope this has been helpful.

All love,

GPK
