Hi, my name is Pritpal Singh and I have a lot of islamic friends who are afghan and speak farsi as their native language. A lot of times we would sit down and talk about sikhism and islam as well. A lot of times, we would compare the similarities and differences. Once I pointed out that the "geeta" or "ramayan" would always talk about hinduism while the "koran" will always talk about islam BUT our "Guru Granth Sahib" not only talks about but also respects sikhism, hinduism, and islam. As far as islam goes I said "Our Guru Granth Sahib very very respects islam and talks about it over and over again in the entire written Bible. Also, I pointed out that a lot of our shabads are written in "farsi." I gave him the example of one which is "khoob teri pagdi meetey tere bol" which some of of it is written in farsi. But I know a lot more shabads are written in Farsi. Can you give me a list of all shabads Guru Jee wrote in Farsi because my Afghan friend for some reason is not beleiving me. I want a list of all shabads that are written or even partially written in Farsi. ALso, I wanted to know what is the "Zafarnama" and who wrote it?

Sat nam. Many of Kabeer's shabds were written in farsi. No, there is not a list that the moderators have of all the shabds written in farsi. You will have to do more research on this, as it's beyond the scope of this forum. The farsi used is not modern and may also be mixed with some Indian dialect of the time, rather than being pure farsi of the time.
Zafarnama was the letter 10th Guru Gobind Singh wrote to Emperor Aurangazeb saying that "when all other means of persuasion have failed, it is just to take up the sword." 10th Guru wrote much of his poetry in farsi, but it's not in Siri Guru Granth Sahib. Dhasam Granth has it.
Guru ang sang,
