I feel modernisation has affected lives of sikhs more than any other modern community. sikh youth especially girls seem to have grasped the modernisation at the most. girls who are barely born and not even reach and adolocent age can be seen talking of boyfrineds, selecting their dress codes manging their hair piercing their bodies and what not. No measures have ever been heard by us being discussed or dealt with by our so called jathedars or any other authorities to communicate to our society and keep reminding them of our values and principlaes.

crores of rupees are spent on gurpurabs while on normal days laks of poor people slep without food, provisions shall be made to ensure at least two meals to every hungry person in a day at the far flung areas of our country where our government can's reach or don't want to raech.

You are right. I am so amazed at how the best Indian cultural values are tossed out for Western commercial 'non values'. This must be the Kal Yug. Grace and Nobility of our women is the most important value to our future. I encourage you and your sisters to rise up and be radiant examples of noble Khalsa women.
