Dear Beloved ones
WAHEGURU JI KA KHALSA
WAHEGURU JI KE FATEH

I have a question which i have pondered over.

If meat is not to be served in the gurdwara, how is it that a tabla (made from the skin of an animal) is used to sing gurbani?

Please, if i have offended anyone in asking this question, it is my lack of knowledge not incompetence.

thank you

Wahe Guru ji ka Khalsa
Wahe Guru ji ke Fateh!

When is the last time you saw anyone eat a tabla?

There's a huge difference between eating something and using the skin of an animal that was already slaughtered by someone else for another purpose.
