What happens to people who continually show arrogance to fellow human beings and treat them badly by trying to intimidate and make a fool of them in front of others? In particular I refer to those people who take advantage of others who are down to earth and are simple and honest?

What does God do to such people?

(REPLY) Sat Nam. God created cosmic laws which govern the actions and reactions of us creatures. All God has to do is let the law of karma work, and sooner or later, in this lifetime or the next, we have to pay for whatever "bad" we have done. In this lifetime, we are experiencing the results of what we have done in the past, good or bad. God doesn't "Do" something to us, we do it to ouselves, with the breath of life, mind, and body that was created by God. The best thing to do in relation to those who take advantage, is to pray for them to be honest and fair. Wishing good to ALL is part of our Sikh daily Ardas, remember? We should not allow people to take advantage of us, if we can help it. If we see someone doing something wonderful we should thank God! If we see someone doing something NOT wonderful, we should thank God we are not the ones doing it! SP
