I tottally agree with the misses that posted the previous reply. If indian parents talked to their daughters got to know them better and understand them maybe a daughter would not rebel or even bother to do something thats UNimaginable for the parents or to the point where "they cant show their face in public" (as i was taught)

Our parents lived ina society totally different from us and they need to understnad the different views and peer preassure that is put on a daughter or son in UK or USA or Canada or wherever. Not only does the society play a role in a person's actions but sometimes their surroundings are the key component also. Parents need to understand that their children live in a differnt world from when they were young. Thers more going on in a childs life by the time he or she steps his or her foot on a public campus or school no matter what the age.
Like the Misses that said be4 have faith in your daughter, talk to her, interact with her, share common interest, and maybe then you'll know what your daughter is like... maybe then the parent can be not only a parent but a best firend too.... ever think of that?
