Summary of Question: | Shabad Narayan As Simran? |
Category: | Meditation |

Would you pls shed some light on this. And let me know if repetition of this shabad would be considered as doing SIMRAN and may if it would grant the same benefits as chanting WAHEGURU.
Thanks & Regards

Sat Siri Akaal. This is a very strong shabd. If you feel drawn to it, then I highly recommend you recite it as you suggest. Recitation of any single shabd from SGGS absolutely qualifies as Simran. Bani guru guru hai bani. Bani is Guru and Guru is Bani (the Word).
As for the 'benefits', broadly, they are the same. However, many of us find that personally we relate or attune better to a single mantra or a single shabd better than someone else might. So, you could experiment with the Narayan shabd for 40 days and then with Waheguru, but in the end, what is absolutely the most important thing is that you do it!
